5:33 - It is starting to rain - Marco radioed in that the track is now completely wet. The No. 17 Falken went off, and one of the Ferraris. The engineers called both Lizard cars into the pits - it's too slippery to be safe on slicks. Patrick is currently P8 and Marco P6. They have red flagged the session so we are done.
5:25 pm PT - Qualifying is underway. Both Lizard Porsches are on track.
5:05 pm PT - Just a few minutes away from qualifying start. Patrick Long is qualifying the No. 45, Marco Holzer is qualifying the No. 44. Race control has declared this a dry qualifying session. There is a dry line around the circuit but standing water in several areas off line. We had torrential rain througout the day, with thunder and lightning - very exciting stuff for Long Beach.

9:15 - Checkered flag. We'll be back with you for qualifying at 5:20 pm PT.
9:10 - Patrick is in the pits to have the crew check something out - he's worried something might have broken coming out of Turn 8. Assuming everything is fine, he'll have time to go back out for one more lap in the session.
9:03- I think that may be it for the session. Red flag, and it's starting to rain hard again. No. 44 is back in the pits - they are done for the morning. Patrick will head back out for the last few minutes in the No. 45. Qualifying starts this afternoon - GT at 5:20 pm.
8:54 - Quite a few cars out on track now, including both Lizard Porsches but they are slipping and sliding everywhere. Seth is in the pits for new tires. Patrick still on course.
8:27 - Patrick is heading back out, followed by Marco. Just over 30 minutes left in the session .It's still wet but has mostly stopped raining.
8:20 - Red flag. Patrick will pit. No. 44 still parked. Patrick is the only GT car on the track - there are 3 or 4 other cars out there but the track is still really wet.
7:56 - The rain is letting up. They sent Patrick out but he radios in that it is a lake and is back in pit lane after one lap. 1 hour left in the session. No cars on track at the moment.
7:40 - Still red. Still parked in pit lane. Heavy rain.
7:30 - It is pouring now. Marco is still on track - Patrick is back in the pits and they are calling Marco in also. It's not worth risking anything - we've completed our install laps and there's not much else we can do on a wet track. Red flag - incident in Turn 1.
7:11 am PT - Good morning from Long Beach. We are just minutes away from our morning practice session - our only practice session of the weekend. Patrick Long is in the No. 45 and Seth Neiman in the No. 44. Unfortunately heavy rain is imminent - hopefully it will hold off a bit longer. Both cars are going to start on rains since it is starting to sprinkle and they don't want to risk going out on slicks. We are on a hold - race control radioed due to "track conditions" - not sure if they are doing repair or what. Wind is picking up and it is sprinkling now so this will definitely be a wet session
It's now fully raining - Marco Holzer will get in the No. 44 to start the session.
